Too Little Time

To know that you felt so alone
To know that you felt utterly hopeless
To know that you saw no other way out
No other way through
Is so heartbreaking
And so sad
That you could not find comfort
Or strength
Or help
Or hope
In those who loved you so much
Who miss you so dearly
Damn
I love and miss you
Thank you for the joy
And love
And sweet memories
I will treasure forever
In sorrow
But also in joy
For having known you
If only for too little time

Know this: Your life is precious in the eyes of God; you are valuable beyond worth, and He is near even when He seems distant. You are loved.

But now, this is what the Lord says — he who created you; he who formed you: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth — everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” — Isaiah 43:1–7

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. — Psalm 34:18

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. — Isaiah 41:10

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
